COOKIES POLICY
Last modified: September, 2026.
This policy covers the website at www.onparallel.com (the "Website"), operated by PARALLEL SOLUTIONS, S.L. ("Parallel"). It lists the tools the Website loads, the cookies each one sets, what they are for, how long they last and who receives the data, and it explains how to change or withdraw your choice at any time.
A cookie is a small file that a website asks your browser to keep, so that it can recognise that browser on a later visit. Some of the tools below use your browser's local storage in the same way and for the same purpose; wherever this policy says "cookie", it means both.
Your choice
There is one essential cookie and it is always on: the one that remembers the answer you give here. Everything else is yours to decide.
If you are browsing from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, nothing is set on our domain but that essential cookie until you answer the banner. What you turn off are the tools in the category you refused, so refusing the functional ones also means no chat window. From elsewhere, the cookies described here are set without asking first, and you can still switch them off whenever you want.
To change your mind, open Cookie preferences at the bottom of any page. The tools you turn off stop loading, and the cookies they had set on our domain — their rows in the tables below — are deleted. The essential one stays, because it is what holds the new answer. Cookies set on another company's domain are a separate matter, and the section on them explains what we can and cannot do.
Your answer is kept on onparallel.com, so it also applies to the other Parallel sites on that domain.
Essential cookies
Always on.
| Tool | What it is for | Expires |
|---|---|---|
| Parallel | Stores the answer you gave to the cookie banner (tracking-preferences), so you are not asked again and so each tool is loaded only if you allowed it. |
Up to 1 year |
Functional cookies
Tools that make the Website work the way you expect. Your answer controls these.
| Tool | What it is for | Expires |
|---|---|---|
| Intercom | Recognises you in the chat and keeps the session open as you move between pages (intercom-id-…, intercom-device-id-…, intercom-session-…). |
Up to 9 months |
Analytics cookies
How the Website is used — which pages get visited, what gets clicked, and which pages someone saw before writing to us — so that we know what to improve. Your answer controls these.
| Tool | What it is for | Expires |
|---|---|---|
| Segment | Gives your browser an anonymous identifier (ajs_anonymous_id) that counts several visits as one visitor, and is the identifier sent to Google Analytics 4, Mixpanel and Canny. |
Up to 1 year |
| Google Analytics 4 | Counts visits and sessions, and tells a returning browser from a new one (_ga, _ga_…). |
Up to 2 years |
| Mixpanel | Records which pages and features get used, against the same anonymous identifier (mp_…_mixpanel). |
Up to 1 year |
| HubSpot | Identifies the browser to HubSpot (hubspotutk, __hstc, __hssc, __hssrc): when you first arrived, whether this is still the same visit, and what lets a form you submit carry the pages you saw before it. |
Up to 6 months |
Segment, Mixpanel and Intercom also use your browser's local storage in the same way. What they keep there is removed together with the cookies when you withdraw the category.
We show no advertising on this Website and set no advertising cookies.
Cookies set on other domains
Some parts of the Website are served by HubSpot and by Intercom from their own domains, and those domains set cookies of their own. This Website can neither read them nor delete them: your browser is the only way, and the last section of this policy explains how. The ones you are most likely to find are:
| Whose | What it is for | Expires |
|---|---|---|
| Cloudflare, on the HubSpot and Intercom domains | Tells a person from an automated request (__cf_bm). It is a security cookie, set by those domains as they load. |
Up to 30 minutes |
Intercom, on intercom.io |
The chat window keeps its own session on Intercom's domain while it is open. | See Intercom's policy |
Who receives the data
The functional and analytics tools above are run by other companies, which process the data on our instructions and under a contract with us. Canny, which we use to collect product feedback, receives the same anonymous identifier through Segment but sets no cookie on this Website. Their own policies are here:
How we treat personal data in general, and the rights you have over it, are set out in our Privacy Policy.
Managing cookies in your browser
Your browser can block or delete cookies for any website, including the ones on other domains that we cannot delete for you. These pages explain how:
Blocking every cookie will also remove the one that stores your answer, so you will be asked again on your next visit.
Changes to this policy
We update this policy whenever the tools we use change. The date at the top says when it last changed.
